In this interview with Celeste Jamneck, we get a glimpse into her journey to becoming a multiple award-winning student animation film Director, most notably on The Soloists – which was completed at Gobelins in 2024. The Soloists has been nominated for a student BAFTA and won an Annie Award for Best Student Film in 2024. Celeste currently works as a Professor in Animation in the USA, where she teaches Story and Concepting, Worldbuilding, Animation and many other classes. She previously worked on and was credited as a Character Designer/Concept Artist for Star Wars Visions: Aau’s Song, Kiya and the Kimoja Heroes and Kizazi Moto: Generation Fire (all of which can and will be found on Disney+). In her own time, Celeste develops her own IP and projects and is hosting her own table at the 2024 Lightbox Expo.
