For those of you that aren’t aware yet, the Cape Town International Animation Festival happened from the 3rd of March to the 5th of March and the awesome Hugo Guerra had a talk about his work and VFX pipelines in games.

Hugo is an award winning Director and VFX Supervisor working in the industry since 1998. After finishing his Fine Arts degree he has worked in Portugal, Sweden and the UK.

After working several years as a freelancer in London, in 2010, he joined The Mill as a VFX Supervisor and Head of the Nuke Department. Over that time Hugo has a Lead Artist and Onset Supervisor managing large teams in more then 100 productions including the Bodycount Reveal Trailer, The Rainbow Six Patriots Reveal Trailer, the VES awarded Audi ‘Hummingbird’, the Call of Duty ‘Ghosts’ in-game cinematics, The BBC Music “God only Knows” among many others.

His clients, include; Fire Without Smoke, The Mill, Nexus Productions, JellyFish Pictures, Atomic Arts. (among others)
