Atomedge started in 2010 with a view to developing a collection of high quality, very detailed and medically accurate 3D content for use by the medical community. In an effort to elevate the integrity of work, the company teamed up with the University of Cape Town Clinical Anatomy department and over a period of 7 years, built 3D content on a foundation of 3D scanned real life anatomical specimens provided by the university. The company continues to develop the collection in order to offer relevant and compelling content.
Primarily 3D modeling and texturing. Our work is used in a variety of applications, from feature films to university studies. We touch on a wide variety of 3D related areas including animated sequences for TV and film, software development, VR and 3D printing.
