There’s nothing the Pixelsmith Studios team loves more than chatting to South African Illustrators. We adore learning about their artwork and, of course, the artist behind the illustrations.
Ryan van Eyk is an Art Director at Mind’s Eye Creative in Johannesburg, South Africa. We first met him at FanCon, when they hosted their first event at The Lookout, at the V & A Waterfront in Cape Town, South Africa.
He sold these quirky stickers of characters from comics and movies we grew up with, but also more recent ones, like How To Train your Dragon and Deadpool, seriously good movies and we can’t recommend them enough.
We then had the opportunity to grab some of Ryan’s thoughts at Comic Con 2019 in Johannesburg, which was held at Gallagher Estate and thankfully, Ryan’s table was near a door. We could breathe!
